The pharmacy offers general pharmaceutical services to the people of Enschede. We cooperate closely with the GP's in Glanerbrug. Apart from dispensing drugs we emphasize on giving information on drugs to our customers, because we think this is vital for the effect of the medication. Our daily work is supported by a sophisticated computer system called MIRA. With this system we track the use of medication by our customers. This helps us to prevent unwanted drug-interactions, contra-indications and over or under dosage.
The staff of the pharmacy consists of a pharmacists with a University degree, and 4 qualified pharmacy assistants, who have a 3-year education.
If you need medication, you will normally have to consult a GP first. They will check whether you need it (if you carry a note from your GP at home stating why you need something, it usually helps) and if you do, they will write you a prescription. You should take this prescription to our pharmacy, where you can obtain the medication.
The costs of most prescribed medication can be reclaimed from your health insurance. Ask the insurance provider about this. Usually your health insurance provider will give you a note for the pharmacy stating that you are insured and for which period. You may leave this at your pharmacy so that they can send the bills directly to the insurance company.
